Majestic and attracting, this lion head wall fountain uses the sun's energy as its power source. Continuously flowing, the pump pushes water out of the lion's mouth which spills into the deep basin below, creating a relaxing aquatic melody. This Solar On Demand fountain needs direct sunlight for full performance, but a battery pack is also included for alternative powering.
On the solar powered mode, the fountain will run directly from solar energy; however, the pump will only work in bright and sunny conditions. On the battery mode, you can power your fountain for up to 4 hours on cloudy days or at night. When the battery power is depleted, the system will automatically change back to solar powered mode and start again when there is sufficient sunlight. Or you can turn your fountain off, fully charging the battery to power the fountain whenever you want, even in the dark. A fully charged battery will run up to 4 hours. Optional Electric Battery Charger-If there are several cloudy days in a row where you can't charge the battery, this electric battery charger can recharge the battery. Plugs into a standard outlet, insert the charger into the charge outlet on the solar panel, and recharge your fountain's batteries.
Note: Finish may differ among fountains, so your fountain's finish may not look exactly like the picture.
The battery generally lasts between 12-18 months, but with repeated charges and discharge cycles the battery will become less efficient and battery capacity may reduce. If the battery does appear less efficient you may try and boost charge it. In order to boost charge the battery you must leave off for 2-3 sunny days to allow maximum charge to the battery. If the boost charge does not help the battery then you will need to replace it. Open the battery cover on the back of the solar panel and replace the batteries with 4 standard AA size rechargeable batteries.
